Description
Propolis tincture is obtained by immersing pure propolis in an alcoholic solution (usually pure alcohol) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time its active ingredients are dissolved in the alcoholic solution resulting in the formation of the tincture.
Hundreds of studies have been done on the effects of propolis on the human body in recent decades. There are indications that its consumption and topical use can be effective in cases of diseases of the oral cavity, stomach ulcers, flu and colds, otitis and in general fungal infections and viruses.
The usual dosage is 0.25-0.50ml (about 10-15 drops per day).
